Kid and I both have a terrible sore throat. No fever/cough/sneezing. Not terribly red or spotty; we've had strep before and this doesn't seem like that.
Yes, we tested for covid, and that was negative. Any ideas? Just the general "crud" or is there something making the rounds? |
| UUGGHH. "General crud". Sure go with that. |
| It’s the same stuff that’s always making the rounds. |
| These posts are insanely annoying. |
+1 These posts are so annoying. What does OP think is going around besides the normal flu, strep, RSV, COVID this time of year? And what would she do differently knowing its one over the other? |
|
OP, it's probably just the usual crud.
If there was ebola (there's not ebola), I'd go to an urgent care and seek further testing/treatment. If it's just crud, I'd give my kid a popsicle and a tylenol and wait and see. Y'all have some serious covid burnout or something if you're this het up about a question. The subject line is accurate, so there's your trigger warning. Scroll on by if you've got nothing useful to contribute. |

You have a virus.
Remember when we didn't know the scientific name for every single virus that went around? |
| Also, don't forget tree pollen allergies a ramping up - yes even in February - they are high right now for several trees. You can feel fatigue, itchy eyes, sore throat etc. |
Thank you. |
| Measles |
I'm OP. Thank you for this information, which explains a lot of what we've got going on. I don't usually think "pollen allergies" in February, but given the warm weather/global weirding, that makes perfect sense. |
| Norovirus |
| Used warm salt water and much better now. |
| I don’t understand these threads either. If everyone says nothing is going around, what will you do? |
Stupidity and jerkishness are always circulating on this forum.
