Please name your fave- I’m looking for one at a sit down restaurant, bar is fine but not fast-casual/takeway places.
I prefer the kinds with real veggies and grains, not beyond burger or other faux meats. Craving a great one- thanks! |

I could’ve written this! I’ve been so disappointed with the switch to Impossible/Beyond Meat-type veggie burgers in restaurants. While it’s a great choice to limit meat consumption, I personally think that they taste vile (as a vegetarian of about 25 years).
Some of my favorites: Shouk, HipCityVeg, Sticky Fingers. |
| Oddly, best one I've found is at the Cheesecake Factory. |

Seriously, amazing veggie burger. A little hard to find as it’s in sort of an alley

I’ve never heard of this place but it does sound promising! Thanks all the ideas so far! |
| Hands down, Woodmont Grill. |
| Omg woodmont grill times a million. I am also a veggie b lover and this is where it’s at |
Actually thy moved out of the alley into a Main Street in Wheaton. Right next door to District Bistro, which is amazing. The two restaurants share a kitchen and the chef cooks for bothering, and it’s family owned. OP, if you go here get the fries with the garlic aioli. So good! |
| Elevation burger. They have an impossible burger, but they also have a housemade veggie burger made of "veggies, grains and cheese." They have a vegan version as well, sans cheese. |
| Slash Run! They have Impossible and house made veggie patty options. Best burgers in DC across the board. |
+1 although at least back in the day, their ketchup wasn’t vegetarian, so be sure to ask! |

Woodmont Grill is my favorite also!
But I had a delicious veggie burger at Patsy's also. |
| I actually like the one at Elevation Burger. |
what do they add that makes it non-vegan? |
| Hill East Burger. It’s made of grits and black eyed peas: https://hilleastburger.com/download/food-menu.pdf |
