Insider trading question

Would it be considered insider trading to short Boeing stock from your Schwab brokerage app while flying inside the Alaska Airlines planes that just had it's door blown off?
Anonymous
no but if you short United with its disintegrating wing, you might be in trouble

No, because you are legally considered "outside" once the door blows off.

Related hypo: Suppose you are on the doomed Alaska Boeing Max flight when the door blows off. Your seatmate takes out his phone, pulls up his TD trade app, and begins to set up a short for Airbus. Do you tell him that he's on a Boeing airplane, or do you let him short the wrong stock.

Would it matter if he put his puffy winter coat in the overhead storage bin in addition to his rollerboard.
