Anyone know what the practice and tryout schedules are for soccer at WCAC schools?

Kid is an incoming freshman and will try out for soccer.

Are there pre-season practices open to incoming freshman who plan to tryout?

Ask the coach, have u picked the school?

It starts in August but there are summer captain practices.

We have but we are waiting to hear back from a few other schools before we accept officially. So a bit premature to send email to Coach.

Wcac schools can start tryouts on August 12 so don’t plan vacation after this point. Each school varies with summer workouts so you will have to ask individual coaches once that time comes. They shouldn’t be mandatory since many coaches expect players to be out of town.

Also most schools/coaches host a summer camp. Most freshmen and sophomores are encouraged to do them. All these camps/voluntary workouts unofficially are part of trying out and play a part in the final cuts. My DD made Varsity as a Freshman through all of these.

Agree with this statement. It is a way to be seen before the tryouts begin.
