Blake and Ryan pissing some of their fortune away because they’re gullible with big egos doesn’t mean a thing. Lawyers on both sides are posturing and throwing shit at the wall. PR hacks milking both sides. The play-by-play inside baseball is Zzzzzz. This will settle, like nearly all civil suits, just before jury selection. Blake and Ryan were exposed quickly for this hoax and have been on their heels since January. |
It's totally an excuse, though. Bryan Freedman's home also burned down in the fire and yet he has not conveniently escaped to Hawaii. Baldoni has gone completely off the grid and is just pretending not to exist, in manner of Homer Simpson in shrubbery. All the way to Hawaii?! Are we sure that's far enough away? Seems a bit cowardly when Lively is out and about and taking her lumps. Public schools in Palisades reopened a while ago by rezoning kids or moving schools temporarily to commercial buildings and privates have no doubt found workarounds by now, so his kids are probably missing their friends. It's been more than four full months since the fire ended but he's still MIA so he very conveniently doesn't have to answer any questions I guess. |
Why was my post about Ballard Spahr removed? People can bash freedman and Baldoni side lawyers all day but one stray comment about a female lawyer gets reported to Jeff? Lame |
If he's doing that to avoid commenting then he's showing good discretion IMO. I have no problem with Lively doing her promotions either. If he used the fires as an excuse to stay more out of the public eye, that's smart. |
Perhaps just refrain from bashing lawyers entirely, most aren’t public figures. |
I'm not the one who reported it but it was a very rude hit and run comment. Comments about Freedman are generally discussing his actions in the case. |
Things would be going much better for Lively if she did the same. The SNL appearance where Ryan joked about her lawsuit alone did tremendous damage. Freedman’s job requires frequent court and other public appearances. |
You must never have lived in LA. Not at all uncommon for the Hollywood, or even just the moneyed set, to have second homes there. It’s not further for them than NYC. |
A couple months ago I understood it. But now that he's coming under fire for the amicus briefs, to me he looks like a coward. His fans will excuse it, but I don't. Is he not Man Enough (TM) to show his face on the mainland? He also doesn't seem to be working very hard to get back into the game and reduce his damages, which I'm pretty sure he's supposed to be doing, but nah. |
I doubt he cares what his most ardent haters would like him to do. |
He doesn’t have to be in LA to work, what a strange comment. |
You raise an interesting point about the amicus briefs vs his male feminism, but that makes it all the more smart to be prudent about saying anything (to appease a small group of Lively supporters). If he wins at trial, it will be much easier to justify the tactics because a jury would have found that Lively lied or at least his actions weren't that bad. Even if he doesn't win (settlement or, less likely, Lively wins at trial), a lot is mitigated by time. |
It’s absolutely best for Baldoni to stay mum on the amicus briefs. Let the process run its course to trial if it gets that far. Saying anything now will be negatively reported and perceived. |
| lol at Blake Lively supporters whining that JB won't give interviews. why would he do that? so you can rip him apart? literally no upside to it other than giving you more ammo. |
| I wonder how the firms are handling the document review on these cases, both on the defensive side (reviewing their own client's files for responsiveness/priv) before producing as well as the affirmative side (reviewing docs that other parties produce). I'm familiar with the practice of having the review managed through a vendor, but also know that some firms have a small staff on hand. Or maybe it's all AI now. |
