Visitation etiquette

Anonymous
I am a little confused.
Few of my friends said they will come to visit my mum who has been sick for a while. They told me the days when they would come.
One did but 3 others who said they would , did not.
My question is this : was I suppose to follow up and say come at so and so time etc?
Or they were just busy etc thats why they didnt..
I dont mind them not having come - I just hope I am not in the wrong by not “following up.” ?

If they told you specifically that they would be coming on a certain day such as, “I will be stopping by this Sunday around Noon to visit your Mother……” perhaps they wanted to hear confirmation from you that it was okay.

Yes if it was put that way I definitly answer back with confirmation.

They said will “drop by over the weekend.”
Or “will come by see her tomorrow.”

Responded back with sure.

I guess they were just busy. Its not my fault .
