I originally wanted a white Volvo SUV (60 or 90) but now I’m wondering if that’s too stuck up beige mom. Looking more widely now to see what’s out there before I test drive.
-I like luxury but don’t want to look like the snobby East Asian mom (I’m Asian) -Want a really smooth ride, not hard and too sporty, but want AWD -enjoy somewhat boxy SUV or aggressive styling. Don’t like the smooth hatchback or coupe styling. -dislike American aesthetic. Not a fan of Jeep, Ford, Chevy, Lincoln. Who has the car for me?! I drive an old Benz wagon currently. If Volvo still made the wagon I would totally go for that! |

OK, so...you don't want a Japanese brand bc Asian...so no Acura or Lexus.
You don't want an American brand bc you don't like American styling. Regarding European brands, your main options are BMW and Mercedes. These are considered more ostentatious than Volvo. Also they are pretty basic rich people cars. So pretty beige until you get to the highest-end. Are you aware that Ford used to own Volvo and now it is 80% owned by a Chinese company? Since your decisions seem to be OEM-origin influenced. Volvo is a niche brand. So the only things that I can think of are Subaru (you probably won't like the styling) and Hyundai/Genesis (you may not find the brand to your liking). My suggestion is that you go to Acura, Subaru, Benz, and BMW then go buy the Volvo you want. |

| Why do you need such a big vehicle? Do you have 5 children? Do you play bass in a jazz band and need to transport it to gigs? |
| You care WAY too much what other people think of you. |

This should have been posted to Cars and Transport.
If open-minded also look at Buick and VW. |
