40-somethings - what's your favorite tinted moisturizer brand?

Anonymous
Laura Mercier worked great for my 30s, but I may need something different for my changing skin in my 40s (dry, but acne-prone). 40-somethings, what brand of tinted moisturizer do you like?

It’s not exactly tinted moisturizer, but Cicapair is my favorite texture. It’s green in the jar but that’s a gimmick - I think the red pigments are just encapsulated. As soon as you rub it, it’s beige.

You only need a little bit, so I wouldn’t count on it for sun protection even though it has SPF.

It melts into my skin better than any other tinted product I’ve tried. It’s my favorite for a little help on a no/low makeup day.

Sorry-pp here. That should say “it doesn’t say it’s a tinted moisturizer”

I have been using Lune+Aster CC cream from Blue Mercury. It goes on so smoothly, has a little tint and is SPF 50. I am way older than 40 and since using it, I have received many compliments on my skin!

I’ve tried several. My favorite is Chanticalle. Someone at blue mercury suggested it. Over the years I’ve used Laura Mercier, Bobbi Brown, NARS and I’ve also tried the Elta Md tinted (I don’t like their tinted formulation but love their clear sunscreen).

Have you tried Pixi or Bare Minerals? I liked them both better than LM.

Thrive Causemetics has a terrific CC cream I have repurchased. Doesn’t go orange in me as many tinted moisturizers do.

I switched to the illuminating Laura Mercier and like it much more. It may be that you need to change or increase your moisturizer. I've used La Mer for years but recently needed to add an oil or serum as I still felt dry.

Did you read the OP? She’s literally asking for products other than Laura Mercier.

I like Bare Minerals. It is good coverage with plenty of moisture.

There is also a CC called Eborian I like because my skin tends to look red/rosy and it has a green tint to counter this that blends perfectly. The only problem is that it has a very strong fragrance. I wish they'd make a fragrance free version. But it's the best thing I've found for baking my 40-sonething skin look it's best, because even being very careful about the sun my skin has gotten redder as I've aged, with broken capillaries, especially around my nose and chin.
