NCAP Winter Qualifier this weekend

Anonymous
NCAP Qualifier is this weekend in Warrenton. We are the first session with 7am warmups. Depending on the news, anywhere from 2-4 or 3-5 inches in Warrenton overnight and in to the morning. Has anyone heard of anything? Any chance they will delay the start of the meet so I don't need to drive at 6am?

One year they had with snow and only half the participants showed up.

Looking at the schedule - if they have the facility all day (they may not) then they could push back because there are not late swimming sessions.

We are also at this meet this weekend and haven’t heard anything. We are the later session though. As is, the 12 and under session is set to end at 3:45ish, so there is probably room to delay the start of the 13 and over session a few hours. I believe they have the facility for the whole day.

We got an email from DCs coach. First session warm up has moved to 8:30 with a 9:30 start. Second session warm up is at 1.

To clarify, by second session I meant 12 and unders, not the 1000 free. The email didn’t mention if/how that was affected.

Yep, got the email. Yeah, we can sleep in.

Is anyone in the 13 over session considering bailing? Feels like iffy roads even with a later start. We are conflicted.

I’m sure tons of people will bail. How close is your dc to a Jo cut? That would play into my decision. It’s a long way to warf and the snow is more further out. And warf isn’t right off of 66.

What happened with this meet? Any snow out there?

Delayed the start a few hours. There is less than an inch or so of snow.

Easy drive - roads were clear.
