| Good idea or bad? Exploring options or kid-oriented event (majority of guests will be teenagers). Has anyone had experience with Chipotle Catering for large parties/events? |
| Perfect for teen events |
| It’s fine but there are local places that will do similar, better food. But yeah I think a pile of burritos is a great option for catering a party especially for teens. |
Can you share some other local places (or even caterers) that will do similar food at less than $50 a person? |
Baja Fresh |
| I’d do Taco Bomba instead! We did this for teacher appreciation, and it was a hit. It was actually cheaper than chipotle. |
Did they deliver? Was food ready/delivered on time? That's my biggest fear! |
We picked up so we wouldn’t have to pay a delivery fee but yes, it was ready on time and they were so easy to work with. |
| Mama lucia is good for catering to teens too |
| District taco and taco rock both do catering. |
| Not as cool but Moby Dick has great platters/catering. I’d guess it must be less expensive. |
| Moby Dick is not cheap, and the food is not that great. |
| Maggianos has catering packages that are inexpensive and they will deliver and set up |
| We had a teen event with chipotle catering including a set up package (they brought everything needed to keep the food warm on the tables). It was great and fairly easy from my end as a server. I did ask what a serving size was supposed to be…if we had let the kids loose to serve themselves I think they could have run out of some items pretty quickly. Our event was bigger….150+. |
+1. I don’t have experience with Chipotle, but I have done catering with Maggianno’s. I found them to be reasonably priced, more easy and efficient than I’d imagined, and definitely a crowd pleaser. So this could be an option to look at too. |
