And why? |
I’ve only watched the last one, season 5, and I loved it. It will be hard to top for me. I love Juno Temple and loved how tough her character was and loved the mother in law being sort of evil but also sort of awesome.
I just started the one with Kirstin Dunst and am a few episodes in. |
We are in season 3 now and I’ve enjoyed aspects of all three. Overall, the acting is excellent. |
Season 5. I loved seasons 1 and 2 while we were watching them - but that was a long time ago. And I don't think anything holds a candle to season 5.
The characters and story just completely gripped me. Juno Temple was devastating. |
Best to worst - 5, 1, 2, 3, 4 |
I loved the latest season, but Seasons 1 and 2 edge it out slightly for me because of the interconnections and callbacks. For a show that's very oblique and violent, it can also be really poignant. Goodnight, Mrs. Solverson, and all the ships at sea. |
I really liked season 2. I was on a plane and it was the first season I watched. That first episode really grabbed me! |
1 and 5 for the quality of writing, incredible acting and character development, the sense of time and place, and 5 for it’s commentary on our current situation. |
+1 |
Season 1 was the best written, it had the most time spent on the script pre-production. It was dark and complex and really well put together.
Seasons 2 & 3 were less impactful Isn't season 4 the most recent one, with Jodie Foster? or am I missing something. |
Season 4 has Chris Rock |
S5 is most recent Fargo, no Jodie Foster S4 is current True Detective with Jodie Foster (disclaimer, the story wasn’t meant to be TD but HBO told the creator to make it TD for the green light) |
You're thinking of True Detective - the Jodie Foster season is wrapping up this week. Fargo's most recent season is season 5 - with Jon Hamm, Juno Temple, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Dave Foley, Lamorne Morris, David Rysdahl (who I'd never seen before and now am half in love with), Richa Moorjani, Joe Keery |
I hated season 4 - didn't even get through the whole thing |
Are they independent seasons? Or all tied in? |
