| UGA is one of the best schools in the SEC for academics and for a top tier atmosphere in Athens. Which school in the conference is the most similar? |
| Culturally, probably Auburn. Academically, UF. |
| Will be Texas |
| Auburn |
| Texas and maybe Auburn |
Auburn doesn’t have the upscale liberal feel of Athens. |
| Clemson? |
I think this is correct. Academically, Texas too starting next year. If Athens is the draw Ole Miss in Oxford, but the academics are going to be at the opposite end of the SEC spectrum from UGA |
Not in the SEC |
Not yet, anyway. |
| Gainesville is not as “quaint” as Athens but has an artsy scene and unlimited outdoor opportunities. UF and Texas are the comparable academics in SEC (Vanderbilt whole higher tier). But the honors at any SEC school is going to provide a fantastic learning environment and plenty of career opportunities. The only thing lost is parents ability to brag about kids college-which is really meaningless….. |
It is probably the best public in the SEC. When it comes to academics, it's: Vandy TX/GA/FLA Auburn/A&M Everyone Else (not you Mississippi State) Mississippi State |
South Carolina/Tennessee Everyone Else |
Why TX next year? |
