I keep a shoulder-length layered bob. Every time I get it cut, it’s like it sits funny for about a week and then suddenly perks up and looks normal. Does anyone else experience this or is my hair weird?
not normal.
Same here. Same style as you, OP. Never like my hair for about a week after the cut.
I've often felt this way about haircuts with layers.
Sorry OP but I think you need a better stylist.. I have a snort angled bob, and it looks best right after the salon and the first couple of weeks.
Yes. For me it's because they use too many products. If your hair has low porosity, too many products will make it look weighed down. And it can take several washes to get the product out.
Is your hair curly ? Curls often experience a “shock” when cut and take a week or two to curl properly again.
Yes. It takes two weeks for my curls to settle after a cut. |
I have always felt this way. I've chalked it up to it being a little too "perfect" that I feel like a 5 year old with a blunt cut and thick bangs (even though I don't have bangs or a blunt cut.) It just is what it is though.
Yes, me too. I have loose curls and my son has tight curls. Takes our hair cuts a few days or a week to bounce back. Until then the ends stick out and don’t sort of meld into each other. |
I have straight hair but also feel that way. I think I just hate change and even a good haircut takes me a week to get used to.
Yes, my curly bob takes a few days to figure itself out. I've tried asking the stylist to cut less off which helps but then it needs to be cut again in less than a month so I went back to the old way. FWIW, my household full of men don't even notice when I get it cut.
