| just got the costco roses but the size of the bushel is half the size in years past. or am i just seeing things? seems really small now. buying it before i remember it being under $15 and being embarrassingly big bushels. |
| Was it 2 dozen roses? That's what was in them before. |
| They have always been 2 dozen. Is it fewer now? |
Well, "now" is Valentine's Day. So it stands to figure. |
| You’re buying flowers at one of the most expensive times of the year. |
| A bushel is a measurement and has not changed. I think you mean “bouquet.” |
| i thought they always sold the same roses, bouquet or bushel at the same size. it used to be 14.99-15.99 and i remember it being a ton of roses. all red, or all orange or all yellow or all purple, etc. i dont remember the time of year making a difference or costco jacking up the prices because it was a holiday. |
| OP you are a rube. Please learn to speak and write correctly. TY. |
| Shrinkflation! |
| I’ve never heard of a bushel of roses. Anyway OP, it’s Valentine’s Day. Wegmans sells 2-dozen roses for $22. This week the exact same bunch is $55 each. |
| My DH knows better than to buy me overpriced flowers this week. He buys them at random other times of the year when they are priced better. |
|
Never buy roses (or any other flower) on Valentine's day. You buy a pot of lovely hydrangeas the week before, for example. It's a bouquet, not a bushel. Really, OP. Even my teens know this. |
Didn't plan ahead, and cheap too? Such a prize you are. |
| what's a bushel? |
|
They'll be half off tomorrow.
