| Have arrived on DCUM. God help us. This is the beginning of the end of DCUM |
| What are you going on about? |
| OP, how do you know they're 20 year olds? |
Do you use words like butthurt and extra cope. That’s language that my coed uses. They’ve found the relationship forum and are playing in there. |
|
butthurt is millennial-speak, older millennial at that
extra cope might be 20yo |
Your… coed? How old are YOU? |
Seriously, coed? Though I don't disagree that we've suddenly got a bunch of twenty-somethings. In the job forum wanting to file an official complaint for being asked an innocuous question. Yes, my brain is butthurt reading it all today. And no, I am not in my 20s. Have never even heard the word butthurt before today. |
"Coed"?! I'm 50 years old but "coed" belongs in 1955. |
| "Butthurt" is a stupid term that's been used here for a long time. It says so much more about the user than anything else. |
| I have noticed this too. Gen z will be the death of us all. |
| I’m gen x but coed confuses me are you referring to a college aged child? |
Jeff is no millennial; he uses the term butthurt. It’s fine. |
|
Butthurt has been around on the Internet for many years. I remember people using it on The Knot forums for wedding planning in the late 2000s.
There are some people who are starting to bring obnoxious Reddit speak to DCUM. Cope being one of them. I wouldn’t necessarily say they are 20 year olds, but probably on the younger end of Millennials. I can’t imagine wanting to post on a parent board when I was a 20 year old college student but maybe some people do. |
There have been anti-woman trolls on the relationship forum for months. It's ridiculous. No sign they are gen z. |
Supposedly, there're HS seniors posting here, just dying to answer questions from random strangers about their magnet program So it takes all kinds.
