In the summer, my age spots/freckles get so dark on my legs.
I've tried creams but they don't work. I need extensive work - my legs are covered. They aren't cute freckles - some are big dark patches bigger than the size of a pencil eraser. I use sunscreen but my legs are so pale and if I use self tanner, the spots get really, really dark. I just want them gone! Any recommendations for drs who remove them here in Montgomery County? |

Go find someone that specialises in lasers. It sounds like Seborrheic keratoses. I had them all over my back and had them removed by laser. It was a big job as there were so many of them. It was so worth it though.
I am not local unfortunately but a medspa won’t be able to do it. It needs to be a speciality laser. |
| Also, just to add. My dr said the only way to remove them was to freeze them off but don’t take this advice as it doesn’t get rid of them properly (I tried many times) |

There are a number of different ways to get rid of the sun spots and we can't tell you which one will work best for you. I'm 58, spent a lot of time in the sun and also have rosacea. I, of course, use topicals but when the spots re-emerge, I have great success with IPL which is usually cheaper than lasers (although you need more sessions). Given the cost difference, I'd first try IPL and, if that doesn't work, go the laser route. I usually get IPL at a medspa and not at my dermatologist's office (I have had a few laser treatments on broken capillaries that the IPL couldn't hit).
