Infertility Support and Discussion
Hey guys. TTC for a few months now and I've noticed for the past few cycles that I spot right before I ovulate (I'm charting). Is this normal? I've been on the pill so long (15 yrs) I have no idea if this is ok or not. Thanks.
I don't think this is normal. May be your hormones are off. Definitely call your doctor and ask.
Is it pink spotting that shows up with cervical mucus? If so, then it is totally normal and can actually be a positive fertility sign. The theory is the spotting is either related to the release of the follicle or can come from a change in your estrogen level, which occurs naturally at ovulation. Either way, it is fine. If it is red, then I would check with your doc.
13:34 is way off. Some women always spot during ovulation, and it is a secondary fertility sign. What constitutes "spotting" is different for everyone - could be like 14:49 describes as just a tinge of pink, or could be redder. Everyone's different. If you're worried about it, call your dr.
OP here. Thanks for your responses. It's consistently a light brownish/slightly pink color. Some months heavier than others. I think I will ask my doc if the BFN continue for the next two cycles.
Op - DId you have sex recently? (no need to answer - just something to ask yourself...I know it's a personal question). Sometimes the penetration will rupture and tear the tiny blood vessels (which are swollen and full during sex) in the vaginal cavity. If the red/pink tinge lasts several days (and becomess more obvious) and there are discomforts like cramps, pain, etc. then it could indicate a ruptured follicle. Def. call your doc. then. |

I just came here tonpost this same question. I am on cd14 and had really sharp o pains yesterday and I spotted this morning when I wiped. Temps have not confirmed ovulation but I am pretty sure this is what it is. I wanted to know if it was a before or after O sign
