Generation Z‘s cute/fun obsession with the 1980s’ pop culture

Gen Z loves the 1980s. Those of us 40+ do you ever miss the 80s hairstyles? The clothes? The pastels? Hanging out at the mall?
Here is a cute Gen Z-er re-creating the 80s. I have no idea where on earth she found this totally preserved mall:

Makes me laugh. Cute! It’s just so funny that in the 80s it would be as if we were obsessed with the 1940s

This is also a testament to the stagnation of the shopping mall business model. I completely believe there are malls out there in desperate need of renovation. Wonder if they're keeping up with current building standards.

In the 1970s as a GenXer kid, we were obsessed with the 1950s. Grease, Happy Days, Laverne and Shirley.

Someone should do a 1980s sitcom.

Idk I’m a millennial and we were very very obsessed with the 80s when I was in college. I think gen z is into 90s

I fully support the mob wife era though. Clean girl aesthetic was a bit boring for me.

Well, mine were raised by Gen X, and so yeah, I indoctrinated them. Plus, they know 80s were awesome.

However, while my two love the 80s, they also love all the 2020s crap music (crap to me.),
