Middle School Start Times? Was there a vote?

Anonymous
I had heard there was to be a School Board vote in January 2024 around Middle School start times changing, referencing a study/studies from nearly 10 years ago when Garza was Superintendent.

Did the vote happen? Any news?

It used to be high school started the earliest. Would you rather have 4 years or 2 years of this? If you prefer the elementary school have a crazy early start time, I assume you think it's fine to have 6-7 years of it for kids? The teens with younger siblings will likely hear those siblings up at the crack drawn and wake up. What is your solution?

NP. The school board said they are looking to see if there's a solution. We don't need to recreate the study here that they are already doing.

I don't see a solution unless it involves increasing the walk radius around schools but others are looking at the issue and maybe they'll find something better. Or more likely, the middle school start times won't change.

Seems like they postponed for 2025-2026 year, and it’s just a plan and nothing’s guaranteed.
