My car broke down.
My ABS turned on in my car and the steering wheel froze. DH was driving and turned it off. Now, it makes a weird fast clicking noise when we try to turn it on. It won’t turn on. What do you think is wrong with it? |
| Alternator died so it killed the battery. |
More than likely this is what happened. To test this, charge the battery back to full, and if all the problems disappear (temporarily) it’s your alternator. A Alternators are easy to replace. You can swap alternators in most front engine transverse mounted 4 cyl engines in about an hour. |
| Agreed, sounds liek alternator. I'd get it done by a mechanic thoough -- hooking up the belt again can be a hassle. |
