Experience on Wellbutrin?

| I would like to try this but I’m worried about taking an antidepressant because of the possibility of weight gain. I spent the last 2 years losing a considerable amount of weight and getting physically healthy. It seems as though Wellbutrin has the lowest incidence of this. Would love to hear experiences. My anxiety and depression was always manageable before but is not anymore and I need some help. |

| I’ve been taking it since 2019. No weight gain side effects. I also noticed fewer sexual side effects compared to citalopram |

| Wellbutrin is great! I know lots of people lose weight on it. That hasn’t been my experience but I haven’t gained either. |

I ended up in the ER for debilitating anxiety that made me want to die.
I think it’s mostly good for people who have depression but not anxiety. |

| I’ve taken since 2015. No effect on weight. I did gain on SSRIs, but no change with Wellbutrin. I love it. |

| Terrible for my anxiety, had to stop. Didn’t seem to have much in the way of positive effect on my depression. |

| Gave me horrible headaches and the withdrawal was a hellscape. Helped me quit smoking. That was the only nice thing about it for me. |

Worked well for focus and depression.
Terrible headaches May have caused hearing loss. It’s ototoxic. |

| I started taking it in combo with another drug for weight loss; it didn't work for that goal but it was great in helping me focus and lift out of general depression/anxiety. I didn't gain weight, though, and perhaps had a slightly suppressed appetite. I've been happy on it. |
