Haven't heard of this before. The marketing language sounds like a replacement or spinoff of Super Y
If this is to be a direct avenue from youth to semi-pro USL Adult, it would be a good thing. https://www.usl-youth.com/about/ |
| No, it’s just rebranding of Super Y |
sigh pity it's not a league of teams that would play at a decent high level as younger youth then start playing against adults at 16, 17 for the ones up to it. Much better development than playing ECNL etc against other kids at 16 and 17 |
Yes because that’s what we need is more leagues |
The focus isn't more. Better development pathway is the gist. But was lost on you. |
+1. |
The USL has USL A which is that program |
| Can anyone access the 2024 schedule? I only see a listing of clubs. |
| Our super y team already has most of the schedule populated into team snap, so someone at the club should have it |
|
They had a rough schedule up here, but its no final yet so they took it down. But check here:
https://www.sylsoccer.com/mid-atlantic-division Also, my club has not said anything about Super Y practices, tryouts or games. I'll need to reach out to confirm details! Anyone else feel like they are behind the power curve on Super Y info? |
That's for 2023 |
Thanks, PP here. That’s what I thought too, but then the summer 2024 schedule popped up for mid-Atlantic teams last week. It’s gone now, but I thought it might be helpful. |
|
It’s still there under schedule with 2024:
https://www.sylsoccer.com/2023-schedule Not sure if it’s valid, but it might be. |
They have teams work together to schedule games and some teams are better than others. This seems about right for 2024, but not sure why they've posted on old site (which sucks) and not new site (which also sucks). |
Super Y was always under USL. It's just now renamed to be more in line with the USL name, that's all. Everything else (appears) to be exactly them same as before. |
