Dinner suggestion for family group of 8

Anonymous
I need to make dinner for some visiting relatives tomorrow -- we will be a group of 4 kids and 4 adults. I have no idea if the kids are picky eaters or not.

Normally I would do lasagna bread and salad, but it seems to hot for lasagna!

Do you have any suggestions for something that most people are likely to like? It's probably going to rain, so I want to avoid depending on the grill.

Thanks!

Build your own taco bar! Make some beef, some fajita chicken, and some beans. Then have tortillas fir soft tacos and taco shells. Lettuce, tomato, cheese, guacamole, salsa, sour cream. Margaritas?!???

You might want to use this recipe as the taco base- I mixed breasts and thighs up to cook with and it was delish.

Tacos. Genius. And I will make some black beans in the crockpot. Thank you!

We just did something similar for 4 adults and 3 kids ... carnitas. I threw the pork in the crock pot this morning and had a bunch of toppings. The kids ate quesadillas (ok, mine did b/c they are picky but my guests kids rock and ate "grown-up food"). A salad on the side and everyone was happy - including me b/c I didn't have to do a thing.
