Rob DiSpirito $300k from Rockville city

Anonymous
Rob DiSpirito was the city manager for Rockville city for 7 years. He left for vague unclear reasons but was given a $300,000 severance by the city taxpayers.
Now he has been hired as City Manager for Takoma Park.
As a taxpayer I’d like to know why he was given so much of my hard earned money…..

Deep navy blue areas always have big govt and definitely make sure they get paid.

It is unlikely that the taxes from your meager salary contributed to that payment.

The corruption and lack of transparency and accountability within MoCo is unreal.

I wouldn’t say Rockville City is big government.

"The severance package included $229,630 for nine months’ salary and benefits in accordance with DiSpirito’s contract, as well as $77,462 is for unused vacation time."

When people are fired before their contract is over, it is paid out. It’s not that unusual.

I can only imagine what Takoma Park is paying him, if he made over $300K in Rockville. Damn!

Besides the fact that he was terrible at his job? He and the mayor didn’t get along.
