This is not wholly uncommon it seems. Tori Spelling comes to mind but also some women I have met IRL. Its an odd disconnect to me but is a thing.

I know her and her brother, Jeremy, grew up in Boston suburbs. They grew up wealthy and went to very expensive prestigious private schools. But I did NOT know they were born in Boston. I just did a deep dive into her father’s Facebook page. David L Thomas Jr. Ended up looking at aunts and uncles and cousins, etc. It’s so clear that none of them are Spanish. They even list that they were born in Massachusetts. I
Theory: do you think she changed her name and lied about her background to protect her family’s privacy? I mean, she has a brother, a sister in law, a nephew, etc etc and we never see them or hear about them. Surely by now a disgruntled family member would spill the beans. Unless, they know she is lying to protect them. For their privacy.

Strange. I always kind of judged her for continuing to pop out kids, and with her husbands age at that. But she does seem like a fairly involved parent despite all her privilege, so I do give her credit for that.

Absolutely ZERO accent and went by Hilary. Not Hilaria. Completely flash chested (as can be seen if you just Google early pics of her). So it’s crazy that now she’s like “oh I need 2 sports bras and they are naturally huge”. Like no.

Neither of her parents have accents or even pretend to be Spanish. Her maternal grandparents are traveling tour guides. So cool. But like, the grandpa’s name is Chuck Hayward. They are not Spanish. Hilary’s parents (Katherine and David) are well-known in the Haverford College community. David is a graduate and was on the board. Not sure if he still is.

The accent part is funny. In her stories today she posted something her mom sent her (a Spanish sign saying don't take off your mask to scratch your nose, since you don't take off your pants to scratch your butt). Then her talking with (an insanely cute) toddler about animal noises but her accent was over the top.

What is strange is that if your google Hilary Thomas and Baldwin it autocorrects it to Hilaria, isn’t there any intel on her before she changed her name? If this is true, her parents and all friends are all in on the ruse?

I bet her family is privately, like, WTF and maybe broached it once or twice and then let it go. I'm sure they love her, and want to maintain a relationship, and so what else can you do.
