Hi you all,
I am new to the area, now living and working in Rockville. Is there any good CSA program around here you would recommend? Thank you all in advance. |
Spiral Path is very good and so is Lancaster Coop.
Lancaster Farm Fresh is a great CSA that delivers all over the DC metro.
Third Lancaster. Unbeatable quality, good variety. My only complaint is that I wish the larger share was a bit bigger.
MOM’s gets their produce from Lancaster during the summer, if you don’t want the commitment of a CSA. The produce section at MOM’s is the best of all the local stores, even at other times.

I have tried Spiral Path and Landcaster. They were good, but came in boxes from PA, I couldn't choose what I want easily.
I swapped to CSA from The Farm at Our House 2 years ago, totally loving it. They farm right in Brookeville/Olney area. They do it market style means you can come, see and pick what you want. The farmers are young and friendly, I learned a lot from them about what to do with the produce, and some garden tips. They also have flexibility to make up your missed weeks. Highly recommend. |
Been a csa member with The Farm at Our House for almost 10 years. Very happy the experience.
Another +1 for Lancaster. My household has done it for the last several years and it never disappoints.
Moon Valley Farm. Hands down the best CSA I've tried.
We have done Red Wiggler and then either swing by Butlers or East Rivendell Farm to supplement. East Rivendell has the best eggs and chicken we have ever had!
I tried The Farm at Our House last year at Bethesda neighborhood. If you missed a week you could make up at Central farmers market right by the Elementary school. Super fresh produce, they grow produce they sell.
