Just found out I need a cocktail dress for a work event this weekend. Any recommendations on something I can get ASAP (even Amazon!)? I’m petite - 5 feet, pretty slim/fit. A line dress are generally flattering on me. I’m thinking a mini dress would be good so I wouldn’t need to shorten. Would prefer black, nothing to sparkly or sexy since it’s with clients. Thanks for any suggestions!!
Nordstrom or Nordstrom Rack. I find that all dresses from amazon have a certain look that tells me it's from amazon, they look inexpensive.
Tuckernuck in Georgetown and Reddz Trading (consignment) also in Georgetown

It's a work event, so I'd just dress up a black sheath.

How old are you? I stop liking minis on women without hose by mid-late 40s, no matter how good the legs.
Thanks all for the helpful suggestions! To the PP, I’m 50, but minis work well on me because I’m short and they don’t actually look like minis on me . Trust me, I have no interest in showing a lot of leg and I will wear tights in any case. Thanks!
