Speeding tickets abroad

No, it doesn't. Besides, if the rental company is charging you, they've already been paid.

The rental company paid the tickets and charged you for those payments after the fact, right? Happened to us with a rental car abroad in Dec. But that was for "stopping in a loading zone" (that DH never saw marked, ah well) rather than speeding. But I can't see how tickets would affect US insurance, if the US based insurance company isn't informed of them. The car rental company won't do that.
