| I see advertisements for regional state schools on out of state forums. Is this something new? It feels like public school district's weaker schools advertising at other districts. I thought only private colleges advertised out of state. |

No, it’s not new.
OOS students are a good source of income for in state schools that can attract them. This is obvious, isn’t it? It’s not new either. |
| Also, a lot of state flagships have gotten very competitive. A kid who might have gotten into UNC Chapel Hill 10 years ago probably won't today. So maybe they'll consider UNCs in Wilmington, Ashville, etc. |
