This didn’t occur in the DC area, but my question is why do the victims often have to be the ones to transfer? Why not inconvenience the bully and their parents? Why not make an example of them?
FWIW, the same thing usually happens in the adult workplace, too— the target of bullying has to leave while the bully survives and sickeningly, even thrives: https://nypost.com/2023/12/02/metro/bullies-beat-brooklyn-kid-film-and-edit-attack-for-tiktok/ |
| Thats lvery similar to the dynamic of teachers having to leave instead of power hungry manipulative bully principals. I guess the kids are learning important first hand lessons in school. Alot to teachers leave the profession permanently though. There's nothing worse than not being supported or being bullied because you strive to do a good job. |
| It’s a lot easier to convince other schools to accept a student who is not “that kid”, who usually also has “those parents”. No one wants to roll out the welcome mat for a student who has been suspended 9 times. Same goes for teachers or really any workplace. Any school worth its salt welcomes experienced teachers. Most don’t want a bumbling administrator who isn’t well liked or someone who has been on a PIP. |
| They don’t. And it is awful for everyone, except the bullies. |
| They use RJ at our school. It works miracles when done correctly. |
What a you-centric response to the post about CHILDREN. |
