WHERE ARE ALL THE SINGLE DADS?

They're out there. But it's tricky. I'll see a guy who looks interesting but then he has a daughter the same age as my son, a teenager. No way! |

the single dads I know were all dating pretty quickly after becoming single again, mostly to women who don't have kids. it kind of sucks! Feels like single moms definitely have it harder in the dating arena. I've sort of re-entered the dating world and if a guy asks, I tell him I would consider having another kid if I were married. The guys I date generally want kids, so I figure it's important that they know I'm ok with that, if it comes to that. (I'd also be perfectly fine with NOT having another one. Pretty soon i'll be old enough that it won't really be a choice anymore!)
definitely try match or eharmony - i know enough couples who've met that way that I think it's worth considering. |

| I am a single Dad with two kids 8 and 5. I find it very humorous that evryone thinks I am out living the high life with women half my age. Believe me I wish there were times I was but many women in the dating pool run the other way when they find out I have kids (see it goes both ways ladies) |

| PP, I have a friend who is in the same boat as you. He is raising three little kids practically on his own (and doing an awesome job of it too). He is cute (if a bit geeky) and he is not interested in women half his age. But few women are interested in an instant family quite that large. |

| I am a single mom of a preschooler and I am in my forties. All the single dads my age have older kids. Guys who have kids in college don't seem too interested in starting over with a woman who has a preschooler. |

I don't think you really want to have a boyfriend/husband again, if that's all it takes to make you not consider a guy any further. |

| It's tough. If two people with kids marry, the number of kids + stepkids makes for a big commitment, emotionally and financially. |
