"strenuous" exercise and implantation?

Anonymous
I am almost 40 (so the clock is obviously ticking) and in fair cardiovascular shape. I have been trying to get in better shape and have been taking some spinning classes etc. Should I dial back the exercise when TTC? I didn't know if it may adversely affect implantation.

Thanks!

Definitely dial it back. I was running regularly when I started ttc and was told to stick with walking.

I think most docs will say do what feels right for you. I'm not sure there is strong evidence linking an average amount of exercise with failure to conceive.

For some people it doesn't matter, for some it does. When I got pregnant (but miscarried later), I was exercising with a personal trainer, so doing a very strenuous routine. Now I am taking it easy and no pregnancy yet.
