| How much do you spend per year on your alcohol, coffee, soda etc? |
| 0 I literally only ever drink water. Unless you want me to count my water bill which is really high in the city of alexandria. |
|
Tea bags for iced tea- about $10 per month= $120 per year
Wine- averages one bottle a month= $120 Hard alcohol a few bottles a year so maybe another $100 Drinks when eating out are very limited so possibly another $100 Frozen/iced coffee when driving long distances probably 5 times a year @ $8= $40 That comes to $480 a year |
| Whatever I spend on filters for my Brita filter I only drink water. I never have guests. |
|
Hydration packets .50/day = $150
Tea/coffee = $1/day 2 cups, that's an over estimate = $350 Wine $20/week, that's about 1.5 bottles a week = $1000 Liquor: ~ $50 a month = $500 Almond milk $6/week = $300 Cases of water: I keep around for guests/parties/etc $100 Liquor/beer/wine for parties: 5 parties a year $200/party = $1000 So I'm around $3500/year |

No idea, but it's a lot. We have a beach house and entertain a lot in the summer and it's not unusual to spend $500-600/month on just wine when we have a lot of people staying. We probably spend more than that for a holiday party for champagne and wine.
DH drinks a lot of protein drinks, matcha teas and other expensive drinks. Probably $150/month on those. Milk, nut milk, diet sodas - all pretty expensive these days. |
| A lot. Like a very lot. In all probably about $50k. I entertain a lot. |
| This post actually prompted me to do the math and it's a lot. I came up with $170 in a typical month, or about $3k/year, after adding alcohol for some special celebrations. This is all spent on coffee and alcohol. |
| The seltzer! Why can’t I just drink plain water? I’m addictsd ti the bubbles |
| I’ve quit alcohol and coffee, so it will be a lot less this year! Still get matcha tea out 1-2x a week, my husband will get a mocha when I get these - so like $20. I drink herbal tea at home. We also have a water filter for which we replace the filter every month or so ($15 a filter). |
Get a soda stream! Better for the environment as well. Pays for itself (for me) in about 3 months) |
|
Eek! I've been doing dry january and waiting to look at the "Savings". I know my alcohol spending was getting a bit out of control. Coffee, I rarely get coffee out of the house, so it's just pods and beans for french press. Other than that a few cases of flavored sparkling water and some diet coke.
I probably cant do the math on the water/coke but I will look up my alcohol spending shortly and report back. |
I had one for a long time and the bubbles just aren’t as good. |
| Like seltzer, juice, soda, k cups, tea, bottled water, milk(s), Starbucks or similar, alcohol, and drinks at meals at restaurants? |
i forgot about coffee! Nespresso pods run about $500/year just for me, and we go through tons in the summer when we have kids/friends visiting. |
