| We are starting on the process to buy a house for a new build in Chevy Chase or Bethesda. I know one way is to look for homes that go for sale that are tear downs. The other way - of finding a builder who has already bought the lot and working with them through the build process - what builders should I be reaching out to? There are so many - do you just Google and call everyone? Or are there builders that work in these areas preferentially? Thanks for advice - a bit daunting … |

Can't speak to quality but I have seen this company's signs on construction sites for new builds in Bethesda:

https://aardendb.com/ Family owned, and does excellent work! |
| I’ve heard Conlan builds a good house. |

Just stay far away from Paramount.
There is a Classic Homes lot ready to build at Lenlart and Winnett in CCMD right now - great corner lot. |
This is true.
This is also true. |
| We are 12 years in a Sandy Spring built house and are still very happy. |
I would stay away; they are now far more overpriced than now than ever and there standard offerings are disappointing for the price |

Scribe Development has done some beautiful homes in Chevy Chase DC. I don't think they have any properties there right now, but you could reach out and check.

I live nearby a few classic homes and would avoid like the plague. Do a search on this forum for previous issues. |
