Biology BX??

What is honors bio BX? I can’t find it anywhere in course catalogs but it’s in my kids schedule.

Probably some internal paperwork thing. It's same as B (semester 2).

High school counselor here. Starting with the class of 2027, the MISA (the biology-based state science assessment) and the state Gov't assessment will be factored into students' second semester grades in Bio and NSL, respectively. BX is the course code we are using for these students. This is is an internal code that allows us to group our current freshmen and differentiate them from students in grades 10-12, who have the regular Bio course code.

Here's more info on the policy change: https://www.montgomeryschoolsmd.org/curriculum/end-of-course-exams-information/#:~:text=Beginning%20with%20the%202023%2D2024,level%20biology%20and%20government%20courses.

But my kid isn’t a freshman. She’s a transfer sophomore. Does she still need to take the state test?
