Anyone else not able to register their incoming 9th grader?

We are in the down county consortium, and my kid received a HS that isn’t our home school through the choice process. The paper says to register on StudentVue January 25 to February 8. When we follow the instructions it says registration is not available. Am I missing something? Were others able to register their DCC kid for a non-magnet HS choice?

Did your assigned school's counselors give a presentation with their specific instructions and timelines?

It’s not until the day before it’s all due. But I guess I’ll wait until then. Just wondering if others were able to successfully follow the instructions and register for courses or if everyone is having trouble.

I think the school has to unlock that function. Each school may set their own schedule.

What?! Why do the kids fill out that form then? We have to register them? I thought the school does.

You really need to specify which school if you want others to be able to comment on how it works.

OP here. School is Blair, sorry, I figured it would work the same for all the choice-process HS selections. I called and confirmed -
No need to separately register and they have people going to the MS to help kids register for courses. Totally different from what it said on the instructions that came with the selection, but ok!
