Your thinking on knee air bags?

Spouse and I have both been in car accidents where we had knee damage. The dynamics are that when the front air bag goes off, your lower body is still moving forward so your knee impacts the bottom of the dashboard.
Since then, we have decided on only buying vehicles with knee air bags. Problem is, we like Kia, Hyundai, and Mazda SUVs. Their cars have them, but for whatever reason, not the SUVs. Anybody have any opinion on knee air bags? Do the work well? Any experiences with them? I do not want to go through knee surgery ever again. |
