| My kids are at RHS in the IBCP program. One in biomedical and one in engineering. Both love it. They are only freshmen so not much insight but it’s great so far! |

PP- thank you for responding! Any help with these questions would be appreciated:
1. Do CPP classes get an extra “weighting” similar to IB or AP classes? Same question for the PPS course and SL IB courses? 2. Do you know how in-state schools like UMD, UMBC, etc. look at the students from this program? Would my child be compared to the peers as a whole at Rockville HS or do they look compare students to their peers limited to the CP IB program? 3. Do students have the option to take AP courses if an IB course for that subject is not available? 4. Can students take IB HL or AP classes in 10th grade? For example, my son is taking Spanish 3 and Honors Geometry in 8th grade so would be at the HL I think for 10th? I will attend the info session for sure but if you know any of the above, TIA! |
