How bad is it for one member of family to back out of birthday party at a venue at the last minute?

Party is a birthday party for friends' kid at a venue. They did ask for RSVPs and we said the three of us would go. I have a ton of work - is it horrible for me to back out if DH will go with DD?

I think it’s fine. DH doesn’t have to explain why, just something came up and you’re so sorry to not be able to join them. No big deal.

Take a Zoloft

It's fine but if you feel bad about it go for just an hour, then leave. DH and DC can stay behind.

Usually they’re just paying for the kid participants, not the adults. I wouldn’t worry about it at all.

I am on Zoloft. Does that make you laugh? Are you 4?

Why did you rsvp for 2 adults anyway?? Next time 1 kid. 1 adult.
And if your kid is 5+ old, it's drop-off

They are our friends. The party is for adults and kids.

Great solution. It might help slightly (but most likely will not) after weeks of fiddling with different dosages.
