How stressful/not is Visitation

Very, it is an academic and social pressure cooker. Lots of entitled bully girls and parents. Read the thread Sidwell is Sadwell, lots of parallels.

No Visi is not like Sidwell. Visi is very Catholic, single sex, does not admit only top performing academic students. It has three levels of classes to cater to a very wide range of students: AP level, Honors level, and College Prep level.

The girls taking all APs/Honors in order to be competitive for Top 20 schools will find it stressful to juggle the workload. Those taking less demanding college prep level classes and happily headed for schools like Penn State or JMU will not have that workload and will not feel that same level of stress.

Comparing VISI to another strong Catholic all girls HS, Stone Ridge is much less stressful due to its block schedule. The workload is heavy, but much more manageable for my DD. She is happy she picked SR based on what she is hearing from her friends who enrolled at VISI. One friend in particular is very unhappy with workload, but the upside is she seems to have made some good friends.

Plenty of mothers who call themselves Christian but would gladly smile at your face and stab you in the back if it was necessary to get whatever advantage they needed for themselves or their daughters. And…like mother like daughter.

Mothers still social engineering in HIGH SCHOOL?! I mean, are these people nuts or what? High school was a time of great independence for me. I can't imagine my parents getting involved unless it was for some kind of a serious matter

My daughter graduated from Visitation in 2021 and it is definitely not VERY CATHOLIC. Quite the contrary.

The PP was comparing Visi to Sidwell. And yes, compared to Sidwell, Visi is indeed VERY CATHOLIC.
