MoCo DCC HS swim teams - info?

Anonymous
We're in the MoCo DCC. Can anyone give some insight into the relative strengths / competitiveness and general cultures of the swim teams at the 5 schools? It might be one of many, many factors we'll be weighing in where to apply and how to rank the choices for placement. DC12 is reliable and has stamina, but not speed.

None of them are great or competitive. The competitive teams have more year round swimmers.

For competitiveness, you can always check the current season and archives here: https://sites.google.com/mcpsmd.net/mcps-swim-dive/current-season. Out of these HSs, only Blair is somewhat competitive (going back and forth between divisions 1 and 2), the rest are not. And I agree with the PP that more competitive teams have more year-around swimmers.

Did we miss the announcement where WJ has been made part of the DCC?

I'm betting on WJ - depth and relays.

The DCC is trying their best to add Woodward to the consortium to carve their way into Bethesda.
