Smoothie blender

Please recommend a blender that will not break in less than 2 years. I have had 5 blenders in 4 years and I am fed up. I primarily use blenders for smoothies.
I do not fill it beyond the MAX level.
I add harder fruits close to the blade and softer ones away.
I try to use minimal water.
I do not run the blender for too long as I don't need to.
The power I have tried is 900 and 1000W in the blenders.
None of my blenders last over 13 months.

That doesn't sound like normal wear and tear. Maybe the minimal liquid and your ingredient order is the problem?

I do a smoothie most days on my Kitchenaid mixer, and haven't had any problems. It has a smoothie setting that I use.
I layer like this:

Liquid on bottom- I use milk,
Then add protein powder and/or nut butter and/or whatever additional thing (like flaxseeds or chia seeds)- the ingredients that would otherwise get stuck to the sides,
Then greens,
Then either fresh banana or avocado (for creaminess)
Then frozen fruit on top

I think you actually want the softer things closer to the blade, and the harder frozen things on top to weigh everything down. And the liquid makes it easier for the blender to blend.

Adding that my kitchenaid mixer was a wedding present in 2015.

Vitamix. Also I don't mind softening fruit in the microwave a bit.

+1 to Vitamix

+1 to adding softer things closer to the blade. I do soft fruits and liquid first, blend, toss in frozen fruit, blend, toss in ice, blend.

Vitamix. Still going strong after 10 years of daily use. It’s always on sale at Costco.

Just get a vitamix. They’re the best.

This. @6 months ago DH thought it broken and I was excited to return it to Costco and get a newer smaller model. But no, it was user error and fine. Bought in 2013. We used it a lot more in the beginning, but only 2-3x a week now.

It was the best investment - a super powerful multi-function pro-level blender for $400 over 11 years and counting.

(Same poster.) I will add that even my small $60 personal-sized ninja bullet has been working well enough for a daily smoothie; but if you are not following the recommended instructions for what/how to blend, nothing is going to last long.
