Elementary school math/lego/stem club run by school

I am curious if there is any kids elementary school run those math/stem club not by private companies or private after care program. It is more like run by parents or teachers.

My kid is interested in doing math/lego/stem, and it will be great if he could be a participant in tournament or competition in a group organized by school. I have seen none so far. Is that organized by PTA or parent volunteers or up to principal?

Y'all need a dedicated parent or group to bring that to your school. We had a parent who once did math tutoring, not sure if enrichment or more trying to bring students up to speed on the always changing curriculum.

At the ES my kids attends, the PTA organizes after school activities. In years past, they directly organized clubs (reserved rooms, processed payments from parents, contracted with teachers or outside organizations to run them.) It was a lot of work, and now they pay a company to run all the clubs.

Sounds like something you would want to take on being as your kid is interested.

Get a group of parents if students your child gets along with in their class and ask them to support you in organizing a Lego/robotics club. But you will have to be the one to start something and run the club.
