Exercise and work

If you have a full time, no flexibility job, when do you work out? I find that I don't have the energy at all. After work I need to cook, I am with dcs...

Do you have kids?

Sorry I see you wrote dcs.

Can you give us your schedule? Ages of kids? Do you have a partner?

First thing in the morning usually. This strategy is called paying yourself first.

I have flexibility now, but I used to wake up at 5AM so I could be back from working out by the time the rest of my family got up at 6:30. It's a great way to start your day, once it's a part of your routine.

Early morning. It's the only way. End of day is a mess.

I have teens. They are busy so I see them 6-7 and we have breakfast together which is important to me and I like to be home when they leave for school. I wah but I HAVE to be working from 8-5 with a 30 min break, there is no leaving my desk. Then I typically have to make dinner, pick up one of them, go to a game if there is one, do chores...I could theoretically go after 8pm some days, but by that time I am fried.

Early morning, before work. I'm a teacher and there's no way exercise is happening after work - I'm exhausted.

Has to be first thing in the am. Wake up as early as you can and just make it happen. Lay out everything the night before.

Baby steps. Use the 7-8 window. Work out from 705-735 from home. Walk/run or lift. Once you have locked that in then come back and we’ll give you more suggestions.

With your schedule I will try working out at home at home from 5-6am.

Early mornings. I get to the gym at 5am. If getting up early is too tough during the week then only do it a few days a week and hit in on the weekends too. I find mornings are best because, other than sleep, there are no excuses and nothing to get in the way.

7:30-8:30am - then I have to be online by 8:30
Lunch hour - then eat lunch while working afterwards
5-6pm in the winters (hell, sometimes 4:30-5:30 when it gets dark super early), and 6-7pm in the summers when it's still hot/sunny at 5pm

Early morning. I get up at 4:30am, start my workout at 5, shower/breakfast at 5:45/6am and off to work at 6:45/7am.

Are you exhausted? What time do you go to bed?
