Watching Bowling for Columbine for the first time in 20 years

How prescient and almost quaint.

I saw this in the theaters when it came out in 2002 and never watched it again. It literally predicted everything - more mass shootings, the violent rhetoric simmering below the surface of American politics, the breaking down of social trust and solidarity. Watching this with fresh eyes 20 years later and everything is just worse.
