is it a secret?!

Hello, I have a curiosity about why some people choose not to share their kids' school names here. Is there a particular reason for keeping this information private? I'm wondering because I usually share my child's school name everywhere.

Some kids are easier to identify than others. Keeping the school name out of it helps protect the kid's anonymity.

But you didn’t in this post.

It's to protect anonymity. Why is the school name so important? Parents would then compare their child to other kids at the same school applying for AAP. That would create other issues and people would question why their child wasn't accepted.

Well I am not vegetarian but I respect their choice. So is to the choice of sharing or not sharing schools. We are all different.

Agree with the first part of protecting anonymity - I'll list Pyramid, but not school. The second part of comparison would be a great benefit from a transparency perspective, and not a negative in my mind. Obviously FFX county doesn't want that so they can hide behind their holistic approach, else they would have released it on a school-by-school basis already.

Only here (and through private conversations) do you find that so and so school in this pyramid needs a 140 to be in pool, versus 123 at another.

Plenty of kids are accepted that aren't in the pool. So only knowing the pool scores doesn't make a difference.

It's a point of information. Basically one of the only points of quantifiable information in the subjective process that AAP uses in selecting LIV. I don't think PP is saying Pool scores are the only thing that matters.
