Does 8th graders winter MAP count?

Do 8th graders take map in winter? I thought winter testing stopped after 6th grade?

Application magnets get all relevant testing. I haven't seen any hard deadlines, but it may be useful for any appeal.

DC didn’t do well in winter, so I am wondering if it will hurt

No they told us last year they look at the highest of the spring 7th grade and the fall 8th grade scores.

Winner scores are too late and many schools don’t do them.

Is 260+R high enough to get into RM?

Is 280+ M high enough to get into Blair?

With the grading is so… and no more CoGat, is decision solely on MAP(s)?

Yes on both counts, based on my child’s scores last year (260 reading and 275 math). Personally I am completely convinced that it was the short essay and other prompts that got my kid accepted. Some with scores similar to my kids did not got accepted and the only differentiator was how they approached the written prompts.
