GYN recommendation specializing in menopause (NoVA)

I am looking for a gyn recommendation - particularly a doctor who specializes or is well versed in menopause. I had a great doctor but during and post-pandemic the office and quality of care went down hill. Melinda Hall has been recommended but it's a 4 month waiting list and she does not take insurance. I'm open to anyone in the Fairfax, Annandale, Vienna, McLean, Reston, Falls Church or similar areas. I'm a bit far from DC but am willing to drive within NoVA to find a specialist that's good. Thank you.

I found mine via Menopause.org, she's in Bethesda. I'm now in CA, I found my new GYN the same way.

As a FYI most good menopause treatments aren't coveted by insurance because it isn't a real medical condition. That's right. Write your congressmen!

What are you talking about? This is PP who has found both of her menopause practitioners via menopause.org. I don't know what you mean by "good menopause treatments" so you need to clarify, or are you just stirring the pot. If you mean non-FDA approved treatments, well yeah of course why would insurance cover it... nor should they. I'm on HRT, that is completely and 100% covered and has been for the last 10 years that I've been on it. What treatments are you talking about exactly?

Healthcare for Women in Falls Church. My doctor is Dr. Amy Porter, who specializes in menopause.

+1 I found mine on the same site. I see Dr. Winterling at Healthcare for Women in Falls Church. So very different than the practice that delivered my 3 kids!

4 month waiting list? You will be done and post menopause by then.

OP, can you post where you ended up? are you happy with the practice?

This is true. However many women do not have sever reactions/symptoms to menopause, so why should we all pay for the treatment of a few extreme cases?

You could just do the Amazon Clinic online for women's health, or Midi online, and adjust as needed to find right HRT.
