Where can I take some pastry making classes?

| I've googled but I don't see any place around here that offers classes that aren't connected to a whole program. I just want to get better at it and make pretty things, I'm not aiming to become a pastry chef. I live in DC and will venture to Maryland but not likely to go to Virginia unless that is the only good option. |
