Trans kids in private schools

Anonymous
Is anyone up for sharing their experience of having a trans teenager at a private DC high school? (Excluding catholic schools—we aren’t interested in those.) I’m just wondering where trans teens might have the most welcoming experience. I understand that many families might not want to be potentially identified by their school on here, but for those who don’t mind sharing experiences, I’d appreciate it. Asking for my own amazing kid. Thanks.

Burke has had some happy trans kids. I bet the admissions office would put you in touch with parents. One parent of a trans kid was a board member.

Burke was a very supportive environment and took great care of my transitioning kid.

Our non-DC Catholic school has been very welcoming to trans kids. We’re K-8, though
